That Tournesol is nice, and an interesting mix of components.

Thanks. It's SunXCD w 28/44, XT 11-32, Nitto stuff, RX100 levers, Paul brakes, WI rear hub, SON front, Pacenti rims. Pretty straightforward build.

Mine is non-cycling related...

Long story here, but the slate floor and everything around the slate has been redone by me, including installing the new door and windows...

Very nice. FWIW, I think Motorola rode black saddles, with the white bar tape and black hoods... just like you have it built up now.

Looks good! What did you use for underneath the slate? I've never installed slate tile before. Is it a cement board underlayment and mud?

Looking forward to getting it out, but will likely have to travel to get away from the salty roads here.

I've been using Schluter Ditra plastic membrane--goes down with thinset, and then regular thinset on top to set the slate. (First I doubled up on the plywood with a second layer screwed down to the subfloor.)

I've done cement board as well,, but I like the Ditra version better--lighter and more isolation from cracking. I did the kitchen floor with the same slate (bought a pallet way back for a song, and have slowly been using it), and it has been down for almost 10 years, and have had zero problems (although in that case I also reinforced the joists because the span for the floor joists was a little long...)

I like the look of it. My buddy has some pretty big slabs of blue slate that were the original sidewalk around his home. Always wanted to incorporate them somewhere in one of my projects.
