Not at all for me but it's very cool. High quality job. All masked out not decal'ed.

A bit ambivalent on the artists' statement, not sure if it need to be described, just experienced.

Reminds me of a Harlequin clown, but I like it.

"Just like all Surprise Me schemes from the past, this is truly a snapshot of where our heads and for sure hearts are right now. There is a lot of chaos in the world, and navigating that can be hard. We find so much when we are on the bike this chaos completely disappears and the beauty of the world shines through. This scheme is us bringing chaos to the world, not simply taking what the world has to throw at us. It’s the difference between surfing a wave or getting hammered by one. This scheme is us seeing the light at the end of the Covid tunnel knowing things will change for the better soon."

That paint job would exhaust me if I was the painter. I guess that what makes being passionate about your job such an asset! I would think these guys LOVE setting up for an entire day of spraying a single frame.

I think I would not like that.

And yes, a gorgeous bike, as usual. These bikes are so totally dialled in at this point.

Love it.

Kinda reminds me of Ornamental Conifer's Scirocco.

Definitely keeps with the tradition of true creativity Speedvagen Surprise Me is known for. I can't rave about the new Surprise Me but I do like it and wouldn't complain if it was mine. It really shows artistic effort and not just slapdash finishes like 99% of production bikes out there.

Wait… are they doing frame only options? I thought they were super committed to completes only. Can you do a custom road frame only?

Nope. I'm still waiting for Speedwagon to surprise me with a paint scheme that I like. It's only happened once that I can recall.

I can't look at a Speedvagen without thinking of Portlandia.

I think you can this year because no one can get enough groupsets.

Yes. Wouldn't count on it lasting once the parts/supplychain issues work themselves out.
