I just installed the Simworks Smog Cutter they made with Golden Saddle Cyclery. 480mm width 78mm reach 128mm drop. I like them

The spot just behind the shifter hoods is a comfy one for me. |

Resurrecting this thread.
Thanks for posting those pics. I’m planning on using a set of the RH Maes Parallel bars but can’t decide on which width to use. On the 42cm bar, as I understand it, that would measure 42cm C-C at the drops but not totally sure of the C-C measurement at the shifters? I’m assuming 40cm?. And 42cm C-C at the shifters for the 44cm bar. Only ask as on some other 42cm Nitto bars I’ve used (e.g. the NAS m106) they actually measured 41cm centre to centre at the shifters. Hope someone can advise. Thanks |

the parallel bars are about 3 centimeters narrower at the hoods.

Okay, thanks. So a 44cm maes parallel should be 41cm centre to centre at the hoods. |

Why guess? Rene Herse web site lists the measurements:
Drops: 400/420/440/460 mm wide Ramps: 360/380/400/420 mm wide (bars flare outward). The Mae Parallel are great bars. Highly recommended. |

What bar did you decide to purchase? I have the RH Maes and like them, but am contemplating the Randonneur bar for a better ergonomic grasp when perched behind the hoods.

I'm yet to ride with them so no review to offer. |

That is a different direction. I hope they work out for you.
