Colnago identification...

Anyone know how to read Colnago serial numbers? Or is it just Italian whimsical and therefore no rhyme or reason?

if you're trying to date your colnago, your best bet is to post a few pictures of the frame so the tifosi can eyeball what you have and weigh in.

For older Colnago frames it may be easier to id the year based on the head tube logo design. If you are speaking about that post a photo.

ah, its a C50...so can sorta figure it out via various things within a few years...just wondered ...wrote the colnago folks a few times with the number but never heard back...no biggie...as I thought, Italiano way of life which is just fine...still a colnago...
