Humans are capable of superhuman feats sometimes when it’s life or death. Amazing really.

That guy is lucky and tough.
This seems to be the year of the cat in Colorado. So far the state has trapped and killed 5 mountain lions that were frequenting residential neighborhoods in West Glenwood Springs, 3 were caught on film in a driveway in Boulder, and one was shot in Nederland after it killed several goats. I've seem tracks in the snow near my house a couple times and saw a very large one, 200+ lb, while driving to Boulder. We've had lots of bobcat sightings too. I took the pictures of the one shown below two days ago.

He's lucky he heard something because otherwise this story would have gone the other way...

Usually they are dead silent. Slight crunch of icy snow, maybe a mudpuddle splash or a little bit of gravel skittering, or otherwise it's lights out.

So lucky.

Hell, I had enough trouble scruffing my old house cat to trim its nails, and it only weighed 8 lbs.

I suppose if you can put a dog into a choke hold and kill it the same could be done to a cat.

Cats are pound for pound stronger, much quicker, more flexible, and have 10 more weapons than dogs. Silent Ninja Killers.

I know that, but that guy must have did that to the cat, I seriously doubt he held the cat at arms length and choked it with his hands. That particular cat was a young one, so that may have helped I'm sure to choke it out, I wonder how the rider would have fared if the cat was a full grown adult.
