Hydro lines through bars....ugghh...

Trying to get hydraulic lines from my Enve stem routed through my In_Route Enve bars.....so frustrated, I can get the hydro line going through the opening in the back of the bars, but it will not get through the hole to come out to where the levers will be. I did try using my Park wire guides, but even those had trouble making the bed out through the small hole, and when I finally did manage to yank them through (its a sharp angle) it pulled out of the hydro line, the hydro line didn't get through.
Any tips???
May give up and take to LBS..... Why do they have to make these routing holes so small in the handlebars?!?! Grrr....

I've found having a few various pick options can help fish wires through those tight bends.

Never had to do it myself but something like this would be mandatory I suppose. You could always try to MacGyver one yourself or just pony up the money for the Park tools.

I haven't used the Park Tool set, I've had pretty good luck with a Jagwire kit, and I used to use something I made myself, gear cable backward through a metal Campy cable end that I'd crimp onto the end of the hyd line or cable housing.

It stinks to have to redo the olive and barb twice but I've also accepted before that it would be easier to feed the hyd line from the opposite direction on certain bars.

I use a very small Philips screwdriver (for eyeglasses) and put it in the end of the hose once I can see via the hole in the bar. Then push on the hose and use the screwdriver to help get it pointed out of the hole. Sometimes rotating the hose helps if it’s really wedged up in the bar.

Drill bit, usually about 1/2" (12mm). Enlarge as needed. Drillium lives.

I use string and a vacuum cleaner to suck it through integrated bar/stem. Tape the hose to the string and pull it through.

Unless you're routing these brakes internally it doesn't seem particularly relevant to the discussion. Want the medal for being the biggest retrogrouch or something?

I recently went through this when I changed bars to a Ritchey Ergomax.

I did not have a cable routing set, so I hammered a connector insert halfway in, pushed the line through the hole at the stem, and moved it around until I could see it through the other hole.
Once it was close enough, I used one of the hook tools others posted to pull it to the hole, and from there, needle-nose pliers did the rest.
The gap between the insert's head and the line helped the hook catch it and to grab it with the pliers, since the line itself would have been too thick to open the pliers enough through the small HB hole.

PITA for sure...
