It might get better now the postmaster general has been put on notice that he can be prosecuted by states for messing with the mail. Can't be pardoned at the federal level.

The state of postal operations is a mess right now.

i also agree that it's reasonably inconsequential for us bike nerds waiting for bike parts, but i feel for the stress some must be under who have to wait for essential items like medication, etc.

let's hope some change is a'comin.

Agree

This past year has been one for many bizarre things. Far more surreal than my mind could have ever imagined.

And I will say I’m not enjoying it in the least.

Thank God for bicycles

I’ve had issues with stuff being held up for weeks via priority mail as well. On the flip-side, I’ve had stuff arrive on time via priority and not priority.

I’m not seeing much consistency in what does or does not arrive in a reasonable/advertised amount of time.

I ordered a part on ebay yesterday and received notice from USPS this morning that it was delivered. Hmm, possible I guess, but it was coming to NJ from CA so not likely and not in the mail box.

Followed up with seller, who sells a lot, and I told of the notification that it was picked up and dropped off (delivered) and he said I was the 5th customer to claim the same from yesterday.

We agreed to wait bc it's got my address and hopefully the delivered location doesn't need a 31.6 seatpost and I still have a week til I'm supposed to get it.

Yes quite a mess.

UGH.

Uh, the issues are not because of the pandemic. I won't state the obvious for fear of lockdown.

I’ve still not had any problems whether political or pandemic

Things are a bit slow, but given everything that's happening at the moment, slow delivery of bike parts is a pretty minor problem
