Man that is nice!!!!! Actually I had done the same and settled on a Cannondale Bad Boy, but came to find out they are sold out and will not be available until December or early next year. Right now I am looking at cost of front cockpit and pedals. I have compatible straight bar shifters for my FD and RD, I have pedals, I have several different types of stems in my part bin, and I have decided on Ritchey Comp Rizer Handlebar w/ 20mm upsweep and 9 degree back sweep. Only thing I haven't decided on was the brake levers.

Momentum (giant sub-brand) UX SS

There is also a 3spd IGH version but I went single speed for pure simplicity. It’s a riot around town.

Here is a Trek Portland that I converted over for a winter bike. The brake levers were just inexpensive Shimano's.

Also, an alternative to the suggested handlebars is the ritchey classic 10d bar. It's similar in shape to other alt bars recommended, but polished silver and not as extreme a shape.
Its currently 2 x 11 and Shimano SL-RS700 Rapidfire Plus flat bar road shifters are compatible with the current Shimano 105 5800 FD and FD. So its more economically for me to just purchase the shfiters which I found for $86 for the pair. Now I am just confirming what brake levers to get that are compatible with Juin Tech hydraulic calipers, which I believe are both disc and rim lever compatible.

I'd guess short pull but which model brake caliper is it?

They must be short pull so if looking to save a $ these should fit the bill https://www.treefortbikes.com/Shiman...rake-Lever-Set

For me a city flat bar bike has to have the bars even with or above the saddle so I can relax and look around while pedaling. Aero position is not required at city bike speeds. Of course I'm OLD so my requirements are probably not universal.

I have done some measurements with the seat, bar, and stem and I am pretty close with that using a bar with 35mm riser. Just now need to wait until the parts arrive to see what I got.

Thanks and I honestly think its going to come out pretty nice. Also, I just found that Colnago actually made something similar in a Ferrari line in 2013 called the Colnago CF9 https://www.flickriver.com/photos/co...7635233442860/
