Lolz, I go by feel - no dogma... Just eyeball it and move a little till it feels right throughout the ride. It helps though when the bike was made for your measurements. Hard to go too wrong from that starting point.

I’m curious about the stem swap, whether temporary or permanent. I would think that a custom frame would be built with a particular length stem as part of the design.

Will look forward to more ride reports!
It was drawn up for a 130, but if you think about all the variables from saddles to shoes to cleats to bar reach to brifter-reach - it's not surprising you might need to push 10mm in either direction. And I figured why not get two stems painted just to be sure I had one that worked as things shifted over time...

Beautiful bike and build. Great job really well executed. I am especially jealous of your cycling routes.

Thank you. Portland's West Hills are a fun place to ride. There are sneaky little views like that all over, and while it's mostly slow going on narrow roads and you have to watch for people pulling out of driveways and side-streets, it feels safer knowing most are going under 20 mph or so. I can spend a couple hours riding without getting more than 5mi from my house and rack up a few thousand feet of vert - there are some brutally steep roads, and plenty of mellower climbs too. It's not paradise, but it's not too shabby either.

If you gonna do it, at least use photoshop and overlays, that way we have the option of "de-vandalizing" an otherwise picture-perfect Portland day.

I made a new friend today..

90mins together indoors and we aren't arguing, so that's nice.

Good choice! I am using one on my MRB and my Drifter. My favorite saddle hands down, but mighty pricey!

You'll only grow to love it more every day. Hands down my favorite weight penalty.
