Beautiful bike, that color has really grown on me.

Is it my eye or are those seat stays not as swoopy as other Terraplanes?

Could be the photo distortion - but Dave does do them up custom for each bike I believe - plus they look different on different sizes.

The depth of the paint is really hard to describe or capture. I couldn't be happier with how it turned out. Simple things done to perfection really blow my hair back...

Dream of the 1890s..

But seriously though. The west hills area of Portland does have a very european feel - old houses, narrow streets, some cobbles, lots of steep pitches. It's a wonderful place to ride if you don't mind climbing.

Today's ride was 2K ft of climbing in 55mins and 13 miles roundtrip

The PDX Ronde ride - an unsanctioned, FightClub-esque affair that is again not-happening this year - takes places mainly on those roads, netting 7300 ft of climbing in 50 mi.. It's officially not-happening next Saturday if you want to swing up

Indeed - just a shake-down before a long one today, but it was just what I needed to finish off a long week..

Didn't have good legs today or much energy at all, but it was still a beautiful day to be out on this amazing bike riding with my buds..

My overwhelming guess is that Clean is the ultimate sandbagger.

"Guys, I dont have the legs today, I really want to take it easy out there"

"Yea, Yea Dan, Just try not to look so well rested when you're waiting for us at the top, eh"

Look at those shoes! I'm guessing "clean" is a lifestyle (which means there is a secret mess, somewhere)

He just passes them on before they get soiled.
