Also very hard to get tires on/off DT440 rim. Much much easier on the R460 rim. Have had both. Really like the 460. The 440 rode well but was a total pita as far as mounting tires.

28 hole Pacenti SL23's have been plenty strong for me. I'm 230-ish.

FWIW, I ran tubed tires on the Eastons for over a year and they don't mount up that well but tubeless tires were flawless. The hook bead on the Eastons is optimized for tubeless and if I had a tubed tire going down, it would likely come off the rim. Didn't seem to matter what brand. |

that 511 looks nice, I wonder what tire mounting is like.

I've been very happy with my Belgium +'s.

tire mounting seems like a major concern for tricycle pal and I can appreciate that.
But the problem is, to a large extent, it depends on the tires. I have inconsistent experience (some easy, some hard) with all the different rims I have tried (Velocity A23, Pacenti SL23, HED C2, H+ Son Archetypes).

Build enough that I haven't heard any negatives from the people I've built them for but haven't tried it myself..

More or less the same but the 460's are tubless ready if that is your thing. Always able to get them both with bare hands.
