A few signs like this on the trails in Newmarket, north of Toronto.

picture perfect late summer weather here in NJ. couldnt ask for a better evening for a ride to clear the mind of the week's nonsense, including a very somber mood hanging over the NYC metro area on this anniversary of 9/11.

Sandia Pueblo is on the other side of the gate and it's recommended not to trespass.

Photos from your rides.

Sure, I was supposed to go to France this year to watch the tour, but instead I am in isolation for the next 10 days. Decided to do this instead, I thought it would be hard, but it was much worse. 14.5 hours on a stationary bike can mess with your mind! Today will involve several coffees and plenty of rest.

Nice! Great spot...love Lewes. The loop through the park to Rehoboth is always enjoyable.

Congratulations! That’s quite an accomplishment. This merits its own post. I’d love to hear more about it.

Air Quality Index was 135 yesterday so I took a chance and headed out for a ride to our local reservoir. I took my Eisentrout out for the first time in a while and was re-introduced to the epitome of smooth. What a great riding bike. The all-alloy Centaur Century group made for really nice snappy shifts, and the Neutrons with GP 4000s smoothed out the road.
All in all, the air wasn’t too bad although there is a mountain range about 3 miles behind the cinder cone in the picture, which was barely visible by the time I finished my ride.
AQI is 175 today so I sat it out and instead did high impact yardwork around the house.

Skies were fairly clear until I got close to the reservoir dam, things got pretty foggy at that point. Fall is clearly around the corner.

With my trail bike out of service I took the road bike exploring and got in a few miles of heaven. I’ll be back this way.
