cyclist dies waiting for justice

im shocked and saddened by this story

in july 2017 ,in peterborough ontario ( think small town, little tolerance for those not on 4 wheels), a driver (65) got out of his pick up truck ( no kidding...) , club in hand, and went after,
rabid and foaming at the mouth, and attacked an elderly cyclist (74).

this was a serious , and vicious beating, caught on video

ive been following this story every since curious to know if justice would show itself, or go back under a rock

then a little something called a pandemic decided to drop in along the way

in the past year, first the driver , charged by police, died ( of old age/ poor health, and not being a good person id say...)

a while later the cyclist also passed..( apparently unrelated to the beating itself)

im at a loss for words on this one

sad, just so sad...

some of my neighbors are the same way

I've 'take steps' to protect myself. I'm usually WAY out in the country (relative to the DC Area anyways) and 'stuff' happens

...and that's all I'm going to say about that lest y'all get your undies in a twist

Bad things happen in the world - and sometimes cyclists are involved..

There was a bizarre home-invasion, triple car-jacking, suicide by cop incident in Portland yesterday. It started about 5 blocks from where my parents lived up until this summer for the past 20 years - random house in a historic neighborhood with manicured lawns and restored 1920s bungalows.. who would have thought.

There's a lot of awful out there - and thankfully a lot of good too.

The scales do seem unbalanced right now. Or maybe it's the social media bringing all this to our screens 24/7.

Whatever it is, let's all be extra excellent to eachother and see if that helps tip things in a better direction.
