My condolences. We are lucky for every minute we share with our pups. I'm sure yours has had as good of a life as any pooch could have!

Sucks man

As a cat owner who lost cats and will again in the future I know your pain. Had dogs too as a child and it was almost unbearable. But they are gifts. Short lived gifts but the best gifts of all, our pets.

Very sorry about your dog - some times it is hard to fathom how much a pet can touch your soul.

So sad, sorry for your loss. Always tough to have the vet do this, send them on their way but pets are such beautiful, innocent creatures..and they KNOW you love them. And my VET, VERY kind, knowledgable vet...reminded me having the pet sent to the other side, when they are suffering, is a blessing, not a curse..even if it feels that way.

I can empathize because we had the same experience last week when our 13 year old Australian Shepard had to make that trip to the other side. My wife called me from work saying she was coming that morning to take her to the vet because it was obvious all signs said it was time. I spent that last hour giving her a few affectionate pats while her head rested on me.

Her semi-replacement came a month before while my wife was walking our dog on the MUT. Out of nowhere came a kitten someone had abandoned wanting to be picked up. As soon as she got in the car, the cat curled up in her lap and went to sleep. Now we have to adjust from being dog people to cat people.

When it was on the kitchen counter, I took what I thought was a cute picture of our cat hugging a pineapple (it must love pineapples). When I sent the pic to relatives, I mostly got comments on my lack of ability to properly discipline.

My dog is my heart. I am so sorry for your loss.

I sincerely believe the bicycle will help save the world if we’d just let it. I’m also convinced that dogs are better beings then we are.
