I need a shock bolt for an Orbea

I broke a shock bolt over the weekend on my Orbea Oiz. I have ordered one from Orbea but it's shipping from Spain I'm not sure how long it's going to take to get here. I also called all of the Orbea dealers around the Boston metro and they would have to order it as well.

Does anyone know of a source or have one laying around? Here are the specs:M8 socket cap it's made from aluminum but regular steel alloy will work
overall length 45mm
Thread dia. 8mm
thread length 11mm
shoulder length 30mm
head height 5mm
thread pitch 1.0mm
drive size is 5mm but 4mm will work too.

That looks pretty custom (as most aluminum bolts are).

A few things, #1, M8x1 isn't that common, #2, unthreaded length isn't usually specified unless you're buying specific shoulder bolts because threads are much cheaper to roll than to cut. You might be buying a bunch of different lots to get the closest match. #3, the you'll likely have to hack off some threads to get close.

Check Mcmaster-carr. If not a good machinist could take an M10 bolt and machine it down for you.

This is the closest I found, you'll have to hack off 15mm of threads and hope that the head is small enough to fit? None of the actual M8 shoulder bolts are 1mm pitch.

Thanks guys! It definitely appears to be a custom bolt. I saw the one on Bolt depot but the thread size is wrong. I might give the McMaster-Carr one a shot but I'm hoping I can find the correct replacement one in the U.S. somewhere

Maybe expand your LBS search out of the Boston area to other Orbea dealers? I found the Occam bolt on Bike Bling, for example. I don't think it's the same as the Oiz bolt, but one of their US dealers should have one. Part number from Orbea would be your friend here also.

For sure this would be not-too-difficult to make on the lathe if you can't get one or would just prefer it made from steel.
PM if interested.

You might take a look at Misumi. They have a wide range of quick delivery shoulder bolts that can be customized. However the M8x1 might be an issue from them.
