I've got Record/Super Record 11 on mine right now, and kicking around the 12 speed upgrade at some point.

Built by AC?! Nicely done!

I did bring it by Montano Velo a few times since they were the East Bay Campy pro shop, but AC is my go-to now for all things on the Della Santa since they closed up.

For service, check out Adam at Oakland Service Course too. He is a really good mechanic and a one-man shop. Not inexpensive, but does good work.

Joe...no need to go through the hassle of the upgrade to Campag 12-speed on your DS...just send the whole bike to me.

+1 here for Adam. He is an excellent mechanic, worked at Monto Velo before.

I trust Adam with all my bikes AND my wife's bike too. I live in Peninsula now and just a bit far to see Adam.

Here is my dilema.

Plan A: used etap in a box from my Serotta.
Plan B: to sell the etap and use the money for a new group of Chorus.

Thoughts?

Moreover, I talked to Roland a few weeks ago, he is NOT busy now. If you have not ridden his frame before, you should really try it. His price is cheap in today's term ($2000 for frame/fork and one color paint).

Thx,
Ron
That is an incredible bargain given that man's experience and reputation.

I'll clear this with the household CFO. Surely she'll have no objection.

I wouldn't call choosing between Etap and Chorus a dilemma. Difficult, sure, but I'm not sure you can go wrong with this one.

Thanks... I expected that but wasn't sure. After a recent issue with a shop I may need to find a new place to do business with.

Robinson Wheel Works in San Leandro is as close to being a Della Santa dealer as there is, if there is such a thing.

Good to know. It's more a startling lack of competence with Campy more than anything at most shops.
