K-Edge mounts are the most solid I've encountered. Now that they have the replaceable plastic mount that doesn't kill Garmin tabs they are perfect. Agree the XL is the way to go for the latest computers, also the accessory mount is a good one to look into as mounting light and a camera from the front is a nice addition down the road.

Latest 2.0 barfly has gotten a lot more solid though it is still plastic.

SRAM's mount is pretty good for the money though.

Guess it depends on the budget?

The best/cleanest is the Enve out front mount atmo, but you have to be using an Enve stem. Anyone know of another mount that attaches to the stem faceplate for a cleaner look than the traditional out front mount?

I went through a GoPro phase so I got a Morsa.

Perfect for that application. For a Garmin alone it's only so-so. Two different screw points = two different places things can go slack.

Bump.

After well over a decade of riding with no device to record mileage or speed attached to any of my bikes, I'm thinking of getting a Garmin or something like it.

I too am looking for a mount attached to the faceplate....3T ARX Team specifically.

I'm guessing there's no standard bolt pattern for stems, so a mount not designed for a specific stem would fit...... well, none.

I had an 800 on a Barfly 1.0, which broke and sent my Garmin tumbling down the road at 30mph. They still haven't sent me a replacement. Now I use a SRM PC8, you know, the thing everyone is trying to copy.

Thanks for posting. Lead me to Barfly who have a direct stem bundle for 3T ARX2 stems.

bar fly here. Its fine nothing special but does the job.

I had the garmin one, better made than the bar fly but it broke so because of that I prefer the bar fly so far.

I do like the enve system which bar fly now has for the fizik stems, I know there is a guy in europe on weight weenies that does those for more stems (not sure he still at it but he used to, he started that a few years back)
