They hold charge for months, and you can check it periodically. Easy to top up just like a phone.

The portability factor makes them just great to have. Yes, it works.
I got one from Costco a year ago.
Weego lists: "Battery Type: Lithium-polymer"

It's not a capacitor, it's still a battery, but not a big lead acid battery. It's a bigger version of the battery that's in your cell phone. So still no acid to leak.

the super capacitor chargers are the ones to get. I don't know anything about Weego

Well that is pretty cool....good info to have (yesterday!)!

A little pricier than the lithium battery ones, but not too bad.

I have this one. Haven't had to use it yet, but thanks for the reminder to bring it in to top it off since it's been a few months. It specifically said that it needs to be charged periodically or else it won't have what you need when you need it.

Got it after my battery died at a ski resort this winter. Call to my wife: "I'll be home in a couple hours...nope, I'll be home today hopefully."

They're great to have in the trunk. Never have to worry, like a battery.

informative. so is there an advantage/disadvantage to getting the larger model? for an extra $20 might be worthwhile unless it needs more juice from the dead battery to create a charge. anybody know?

I think it has to do with the size engine you anticipate jump-starting....bigger engine needs more power to crank over.
