I'm with you on this - just wish they'd chosen a different seatpost, painted the wheels, and put some Campy on there..

lol. $10k bike. You need to add those parts + a festka frame and you will be north of 10k.

Agree. The post is not great and probably beg for getting painted along with stem.

For $35K they should turn it into an NFT.

to pile it on, I like the paint and I am sure its a great bike, but that price is stupid. I am rooted in pragmatism, and in the same way I would never buy a $200,000 car, I would also never buy a $35,000 bike.

Why don't bike manufacturers check with everyone on this forum before they build a bike? If they did, they could avoid making a bike that some people don't like, or one that costs more than some people are willing to pay. Wouldn't it make sense to make a one-of-a-kind bike that everybody likes and can afford?

The buyer is a billionaire. Whether he buys a 35K bike or a 200k car I am almost certain that it represents way less to his budget/finances compared to what many of us spend on bikes and cars.

What's a scarier number? 1,000 000 000 + / 200 000

or

100 000 / 35 000 (I am being very generous with a 100 000 income here )

In other words, who is crazier? Billionaire buying a 200K Porsche or whatever or Average Joe making 80k a year and buying a 30K accord?

i suspect being a billionaire is a totally different existential experience than being a thousandaire.. a billionaire cold drop $35k on the sidewalk stumbling outta the club at 3am and never even miss it

so would i ever - or *never* - buy a $35k bike? i mean, yea i probably would, if i liked it. if i was a billionaire. but im not, and certainly never will be.. so kinda irrelevant to me.

i wouldnt buy THIS $35k bike, but when thousands are as pennies, id probably
some other stupid $35k bike.

I like the idea of painted wheels, and it would be nice if you could paint the seatpost, but I'm not sure how that would work.

Leave a black band, I suppose.
