Now this was the nicest riding titanium bike I’ve had pleasure of owning in the past.

Only saw one minor mention of Dean, but I love my El diente. Quit riding carbon bikes basically as I always seem to reach for this one.

Spend whatever you need to get what you want and more importantly what fits correctly, like your previous bike this is a 10 year purchase.

Off the rack, Moots.

Custom: Bingham Built/Eriksen.

The Ti bike building DNA runs deep and they are pretty damn high performance machines, even the non-RSL Moots, IMO.

I say this as a guy who just got a Seven, the Moots remains a high water mark.

Few Mootses ever looked like "cool" bikes to me, save some of their MTBs over the years (re: road I just never could do sloping TTs and it seems like they turn more of those out than others) BUT I hear that comparing welds there is just about no comparison to what they turn out.

Nevertheless, having heard Kish dish on bikes, I would love to have one of his some day.

Edit: Bingham/eriksen looks awesome too... They and Kish seem like the ti elder statesmen.

I have a LeMond from that era and it still rides great: agile, sharp, responsive, etc. Build it up with a sweet set of modern wheels and some 5800 and go to town.

I'm pretty sure it doesn't fit me anyway, but I think it would be better to sell it when you pass so that someone else can enjoy it. Plus, the money could then go to your family or favorite charity. If there is a heaven, you will probably get a new bike there anyway and I'd like to think that there are no flats or mechanicals in heaven, so you can even ride without a saddle bag, etc.

This bike pretty much killed my Ti road bike lust. I do not see how it could be improved.
