Helen Wyman retires
One of my all time favorite riders. Beyond kicking ass on hilly circuits, she is a genuinely good human being. Would love to see her as head of the UCI.

Speculation is that she will head up the Women’s program for the team she joined mid-season.
One of the genuinely nice human beings in the sport. BK

I'd love to see (hear?) her do more commentary. She was great during the recent Junior CX WC.

She's amazing, and I'd love to see her in ANY public-facing or logistical role in the sport - commentary, running a team, race promotion, UCI cx leadership... she's one of the best thinkers/writers/communicators that the sport has. |

On of my favorite cycling memories was pre-riding the charm city course in 2009(?) on her wheel. It was between a men’s masters race and the start of the cat3s and there was one dude struggling to finish his last lap - Helen kept the eager pre riders at bay and gave gentle encouragement to the guy for a solid 10 minutes. Very cool to witness.

Did a mixed field road race ten years ago. The course was a blend of gravel, tarmac and dirt. I'm pretty good at that stuff and was having a decent ride, and recall being impressed by some woman I didn't recognize just floating through the loose stuff where most people struggled and also having great power on the road bits. Then I realized it was Helen Wyman randomly racing in Ontario. Neat.

I did not know of her...but impressive credentials for sure! It's great to have people like this stick around to help and encourage the next group.

Sad to see her go, but a good move. She and Stefan are such superb people and have so much to offer. Genuinely great people, and yes adorable dog. Looking forward to what will happen down the road, wish them luck with any and all endeavors
