Freestanding, vertical storage stands for inside closet? (No hanging hooks)

I need to figure out a way to store two bikes vertically, side by side, in a reach-in coat closet.

I don't want to use drilled hooks for reasons that are too boring to explain.

Seems like I could do with something like this stand (a Minoura/Maruhachi A01V from Japan) in the photo. But alas, they don't sell in the US. Anyone come across something similar that is available Stateside? Narrow, small footprint, vertical, and relatively easy to use?

pvc tubing? The only thing you need is to figure it out how to secure the front wheel and good to go. Maybe a bungee cord or something?

I have seen in at HF and doesn't seem to bad. Its not carbon fiber or anything special.. It should handle 2 lightweight bikes for the OP. Its on rubber coated casters so moving it out of the closet to access the bikes easier with scratching the bikes and walls is a plus.

Nifty idea but a bit too large for my specific need.

I’d say I have no more than 4x5’ of free space.

How about autopoles?

You could definitely rig something up by adding the right hook.

I build something very similar to what the OP listed out of 2x4s for a similar situation. Tucked in next to the wall nicely in the closet and could hang 3 bike comfortably on the one that I was able to fit in the space.

Regular velo hinge no good?

I use these on a wall and find them very easy to install and use. Can be found pretty cheap on ebay usually as well.

The velo hinge is nice. But my partner doesn’t have a lot of upper body strength, and she doesn’t want to lift/wrestle the bike up to the hook in a tight space. We are also against having any part of our wheels touch the wall. These are our daily driver bikes and they get appropriately dirty.

I suppose I’m basically looking for an exact replica of the product shown but I’m coming up empty.

No personal experience with the Bike Nook and it doesn't look as stable as I would like, but maybe an option?

Roll & Store may be simpler, same theory.

Bikes hang at my house and are an issue for my wife as well to the point that she has to give me advanced warning if she plans to ride so I can pull whichever bike she plans to ride down. Whatever you find may serve us as well.

I found this, the Minoura Tancho E'sse on the big shopping site. Looks promising, but at $117 it better be perfect.
