2015 Specialized Fatboy

With 8-12" of the white stuff coming down tomorrow/Monday, looks like it's time to dust this baby off.

Oringina

Looking superficially like the previously posted Cinelli, is my 1973, Kool Orange, Schwinn World Voyageur, which I've nicknamed Orangina. I've upgraded some of the original parts with aftermarket purchases of additional first generation Shimano Dura Ace parts, including high flange hubs, side pull brakes, and the front derailleur. Other additions included Nitto bar and stem, cloth tape, Brooks saddle, Suntour Winner 14-30 freewheel, Velocity Synergy rims, and Dia-Compe brake levers. I've kept all of the stock parts just in case I (or the next owner) wants to restore it to near show room condition.

Here's my 64cm Black Mountain Cycles Road shortly after I received it. I'm the third forumite to own this frame - bought this summer from Donevwil who bought it from Echelon John last year.

Really pleased with the ride. It's a work-in-progress parts wise. Will post better photos once it's all sorted out.

It's been passed around the forum a few times. It won't be moving any more.

I took this frame on long term loan for the price of a one-colour finish, which was of course Molteni orange. Eventually I returned it to its rightful owner but retained the components for another reinvention. And acquired an orange Black Mountain Cycles Road to keep the colour alive in the garage and on local roads.

As someone who went to a university with orange and block being the main colors, I got a real kick out of many of these bikes.

Grade school colors for me, but hope you like this one. Orange is more orange in person.
