Riding Michelin Pro4's? Beware!!
This tire has less than 10 rides. Pulled my bike out of the car the other day to find this. Very grateful I wasn't riding it when it happened. Tread separated from the sidewall. Maybe 100 psi tire pressure. Tire purchased brand new in the box this winter. Maybe it sat on a shelf for a while but seems unacceptable. Checked the rear and it was starting to do the same thing. New tire as well. So if you're riding these tires please check them regularly! !!

I'm thinking those haven't been manufactured in years. I used those years ago. I don't recall them having a long life then. Good rolling tire though. A race tire.

*I amend my statement, PRO4s don't seem to be listed on the site currently, they are all Power this or that..
damn, I was just thinking about trying those again (loved the PRO2s, not the 3s).. guess I'll stick with Vittoria.. OP-I'd reach out to Michelin and see what they'll do..

It's quite possible they sat on a shelf somewhere for years. Not terribly familiar with the model. But being new and in a box I expected better I guess. Could have been devastating had I been riding them, especially being a front tire.

I had a pair delaminate on me ~2 years ago. The ones on my Della Santa are holding up fine. I do keep an eye on them though.

Yea, the mfg date on those tires is probably ancient history.
The PRO series tires were really excellent back in the day. I recall loving the PRO2 and PRO3, by the time the PRO4 came out, other mfgs had well eclipsed (eclipse day pun!) them in many areas. Glad that was found in a safe, controlled manner

Yikes!
I like the Power Gravel tires. I think the Power branding has something to do with matching the marketing of their auto line. |

Those were sweet tires in 2009.

Even though you tires are new, they were manufactured in 2014 -- 10 years back. While some might, I am not using 10 year old tires. Not that they would not work, but I am unwilling to take the risk.
