In looking at them, they sure are ugly, but if they eliminate hot spots and make riding more comfortable, that would be amazing.

Checking pricing:

Lore - 1900
Rocket 7 - 1850
Lamson 1275
d2 - 1275
Bont 1100
Luck - 600

Bleeding edge technology, with a commensurate price.
You forgot Simmons racing out of FLA
Full custom MOJO - $2,100
Full Custom Leather Upper - $1,750

Watching that video of how to do this....
I would not be comfortable asking a friend to scan me for a pair of $1900 shoes.
You clearly can't do it yourself, so someone has to take that responsibility, and the guy in the video seemed to push how important getting it just right is. That's a lot of scratch if it gets screwed up

I am certainly not a traditionalist when it comes to equipment, and lean function over form, but these things......I just couldn't wear them. So bad.

I just want to say that I created an account on this forum for the sole purpose of bumping this thread hoping to find out more information about whether there is any update or review of the one person who claims to have ordered these. There are no reviews of this product anywhere despite them being released for perhaps a year and I am desperately curious to find out more.

From Lore to me on December 1, 2022:

Hey Dan,

Thanks for checking in. The first wave of shoes went out and we had some consistent feedback about a point of discomfort on the pads (shells were fine). We had to circle back and devote some resources to getting those first customers squared away with the revised pads. Fortunately our tweak looks to be working well and folks are happy with the change. That did give us a delay, but we felt it was important to get the first wave of customers to 100% happy before moving on to the next wave batch of customers. Rest assured that once you get your shoes we'll continue to do whatever it takes to make sure you're feeling perfect comfort and generating additional power.

Your CAD files are all done (although we're going to have the team make a small tweak to them before printing so they work better with the new pads), and we should be sending them to print shortly. Things are moving forward...slower than I want, but moving nonetheless. The earliest batch of users with revised pads are reporting major power gains, so I assure you the wait will be worth it.

I'll send another update once they're on the printer and we have your final pads assembled. Will keep you posted. Thanks for the patience!

Update and preview of what's to come. They're still not in my possession, but my shoes are out of the printer and going through post-processing. Possibly will have them next week.

Can you fit a Velotoze or like over them for aero/water/wind protection reasons? It might be a one and done job--I can't imagine the process for getting them off.

Good news... I have them. I will reserve judgment until this afternoon when I have a video call with them to get them set up.
