OT. In search of the perfect sweatpant

Can’t believe I’m asking this but cannot find what I’m looking for.
What do you guys recommend regarding sweatpants that look and feel good that you could wear all day? The ones I’ve found all seem to be wide at bottom I assume for just pulling right over your sneakers. Looking for a tapered fit.

Search for "running pants"--they're exactly what you're looking for.

I picked up a couple of pairs of Champions a couple of years ago (early planning for my pandemic wardrobe). They're great, midweight with a flannel inside. They seem to be NLA, the current versions are lightweight with no lining. Not as nice for lounging around the house, er, I mean working from home.

So I'm always on the lookout for additional sweatpants. I recently picked up a pair of Mizuno track pants that are similar to the Champions, except that they have a single zipped pocket in the rear. Since I'm pretty much wearing sweatpants all the time, I prefer ones with side pockets (for mask and phone).

The Raphas look great, but given the reviews, might run long.

Also, take a look at Janji.

I've lived in standard issue Uniqlo sweatpants for most of the pandemic. They are pretty slim fitting, have a couple pockets and I don't feel like a schlump if i have to run out to store or something.

Haven't worn anything but sweatpants/track pants for the past year. Not sure that's going to change anytime soon (except for shorts in the summer).

Just ordered two pair of the Raphas onsale. Wife will be happy that I'm upgrading my look. While the track pants look fine, the old school sweat pants look pretty schlumpy.

could they be that good?

I prefer either deep or zippered pocket so my wallet does not fall out. Lost one that way getting in or out of my car.

You're looking for what are now called joggers. I really like Reigning Champ
mid weight cotton pants, but Adidas Tiros are very tapered and universally popular and great for biking, but they're mostly polyester. Uniglos joggers are great too.

If you're at all eastern European, Adidas is the only answer. Practice your squatting now.

Unless you prefer to rock Fila. Maybe le coq sportif if you're cool enough for old school.

So it's come to this - day-long wearing of sweatpants.

Apparently COVID and the effects of long-term lockdowns are much worse than I thought.
