Seven 622 SLX

Hey Paceline.

I have been looking for something not carbon and not steel for a while. That was pointing me toward Ti. But i sort of forgot about the multi material bikes. This bike found me outside of Paceline and until the previous owner sent the message, I had never heard of the 622 SLX. It didn't take long for the want to set in!

Anyway, its stock size 54.5 and is running an ENVE fork instead of the Seven 5e. Stays are a chunky 1 inch and shapley. Welds are clean. The bike looks like it was hardly ridden, no scratches on the stays, and the BB is clean as can be. I think it was a Mellow Johnny's floor bike according to the build sheet.

Ive got Chorus 11s on there now with Boras, and if i continue to love the ride she will get an upgrade to Record or SR. I have some lighter brakes arriving soon. And I want to find a nice light saddle, maybe a Tune Kom Vorr or at the very least a nice light selle italia kit carbonino. Weight weenie, but just a bit because i can. Love any other weight weenie recommendations as im new to that game.

Cant wait for more consistent weather to get this out more, and to ride it actually fit instead of my current not so strong state.

Tubular Bora’s? Looks great! SR will drop the weight a good amount.

Neat! Love my seven. looks like she doesn't weigh much as is.

Tune, far and near, ax lightness, extralite...lots of expensive ways to lighten the load there.

This is so great - looks fast and tough! Is this bike going to get the colored hubs you were discussing in another thread? I'd get navy blue or brown CKs for a subtle splash.

Great taste in bikes, and my size!

tell you what, normally not a fan of the ti/carbon bikes but this one really does it for me. An amazing bike once again Matt.

Would you mind sharing your thoughts on the ride quality? I am sure paceline would benefit from your review. And I especially am looking for a comparison between the 622 SLX and any other Ti bike you have ridden.

When I got into biking about 10 yrs back, I honestly used to abhor the look and the purpose of a mixed material bike. It looked ungainly and I thought that straddling across two worlds, the bike must be an exercise in "well, just because we could make it, we made it". But slowly over the course of many years, these mixed materials bike have started to grow on me visually, especially the 622 SLX. I have become absolutely enamored by them. But I have no clue on how they would compare to my Seven Axiom SLX or even a Moots Vamoots, or a Serotta Legend.

Please enlighten us!
