Sent an email asking about the store in Boulder, got the below.
“Thank you for your email. At this time, all of our stores are in the process of liquidation. While we are not 100% certain on the future of the retail locations, it will more than likely be closed fully upon the liquidation being completed. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Let us know if we can be of further assistance.”

From the release:

“We expect merchandise to sell very quickly,” stated Tim Shilling, Managing Director, Gordon Brothers. “Tremendous values on all categories are being offered starting today. Sales will run until all inventory is sold, which is expected to be fast.”
Here's an example of a "tremendous value," a Fuji Roubaix marked down from $1,299.99 to $1,274.99:

I don't think online prices are equal to in-store prices. Their "goodbye letter" specifically references the fact that they won't be price matching in the store, either from their web storefront or anyone else's.

Correct on all counts.

You need to be careful with these kind of deals. I went to the local Performance store looking to pick up a part and they had raised price 25% above what it was a few months ago. So even with 40 percent off the closeout price was not really that great.

YMMV, but I have learned to never trust any type of "closeout" pricing.

I have one next to my office so i just popped in. Really nothing priced better than you can find online, most things were 20% off. I felt bad so i bought some bars.

Same experience at the Westminster CO store. Except my pity purchases were a pair of gloves and a little multitool.

The bikes are less expensive than the online price. But the store also isn't accepting points (those have to be redeemed online), so not really any deals of the century to be had... yet.
