OT: best way to share a screen....

I need to share my screen to one other person.

Skype share screen works BUT really slows down my computer.
It seems to hog bandwidth and resources. It's SLOW !

It there a better free alternative .... ????

(Is their a free utility that is as efficient as Adobe Connect?)

Thanks in advance .....

I'm not sure if you could do a sample of GoToMeeting -- it's what we use at work, and work's very well.

Mac or PC?
With a Mac<->Mac, use Messages (Mountail Lion, iChat for Lion). Connect with the other person, then have the other person select "Start Screen Sharing"
