Bianchi frame Identification (Blue/Gold Decals, no lugs)
Hi folks,
I am back with yet another frame/tubeset ID request I have this Bianchi with blue & gold decals, no lugs only at the bottom bracket. Also the downtube is ovalized. The seattube diameter is 27,2mm. The cable routing is inside the upper tube, and also the fork looks kind of interesting to me. It is built up completeley with campagnolo mirage and has a nice campagnolo zonda wheelset. hope i can get some help with this one again :-) thanks in advance |

Well I’ll start with guessing mid to late 90’s with the vertical dropouts and 8 speed. My sense is it’s lower end based on the bottom bracket and unicrown fork. Wheels are cool - I have a set of Ventos from that era and really like ‘em.

Bianchi dedacciai zero tre?
Hello,
I am not a Bianchi expert but I had a similar Bianchi with Dedacciai Zero Tre. There are some similarities with yours, Tig head tube and seat cluster with a lugged bottom bracket. Although my bottom didn't have a straight cut lug. My also had the flared/oval downtube like yours. Also had the unicrown fork. Another difference was mine had a split cable for the rear brakes, whereas, yours is internally routed. My seatpost size was 26.8. Campagnolo Mirage was around in 1995 or so and was positioned below Veloce. I wouldn't be surprised if this was a production Bianchi with mid-level Columbus or Dedacciai tubing. A lot of mid-level bikes had Bianchi "superset" tubing made by Columbus and Dedacciai. I think these were tubes made to Bianchi specs. Hopefully others can help narrow down this bicycle. |
