Feels like we've been living in a Far Side cartoon for quite a while now, actually.

I have always enjoyed the more abstruse comics produced by Gary Larsen. But I must confess every time I see the fat student pushing the door in the wrong direction to enter the school for the gifted, I shed a tear in laughter.

Bloom County is also back, if you follow Berkeley Breathed on Instagram.

Wonder what Bill Watterson is up to ...

Every time I fail to open a door correctly, I utter out loud, "School for the gifted!"

The Far Side was / is very good, but nothing, NOTHING will ever beat Calvin and Hobbes.

Plus 1000! I still re-read it daily. I have learned that things I loved, that then stopped, really should not try to come back. It seldom seems to work out and diminishes their status.

Today's C&H is appropriate to this forum.

Related to both, Armisen/Hader/Myers made Searching For Mr. Larson: A Love Letter From The Far Side last year on Documentary Now!. Pretty funny.

You’d be surprised. Google “Norman doors”!

Far side and Calvin & Hobbes are my two faves ever.
