I guess I didn’t hunt around for a nice one and just bought some generic clamp on Amazon and it works just fine. Seatpost slippage is over. There are some nice ones here though and the Wolftooth clamp is kind of intriguing. But I likely won’t be changing because mine now just works.

I'm ok with anything that has a barrel nut like the Salsa or Wolf Tooth. That allows the bolt to pull square into it's counterbore and the reliability sky rockets. Simply taping the hole into the clamp is fine, IF and only if everything is spot on and you don't to wedge the clamp onto the painted tube or really torque it down to get your seat post to stay put.

I have also been using a Tune Schraubwürger clamp for a number of years with zero issue. But this forum doesn't like weight weenie parts, figured I would throw it out there anyways.

Wouldn't you want both sides to be in a barrel mount? The head of the screw and also the part that it threads into?

Or is that really only an issue with carbon collars?

Let's not over think this, only a seatpost clamp.

I have had good success with the Woodman Seat Post Clamps.

Another vote for DKG or Engin, both are well engineered, and provide very even force.

If you go for the Engin, ensure you measure the amount of seat tube you have, as the total stack height from the lip to the end of the clamp is longer than the DKG.

Another vote for Engin. I’ve had seat post clamp issues for years. Serotta ti bolt snapped, Salsa dimensions were off, Thomson too narrow. Engin *finally* fixed my slipping seat post problem. Have them on all my bikes.
