For most of my adult life, I thought it was "for all intensive purposes" rather than correctly, "for all intents and purposes".
When I was a young lad and just learning to ride a bicycle, my parents taught me that pedestrians had the right of way, and that when I encountered one on the sidewalk I should ride around them.

So, every time I came upon a pedestrian, I rode around them, and silently said to myself, "Presbyterians have the right of way."

Too much misinformation and irrational fear of the vaccine.

This might be a divisive question - if you choose not to vaccinate, shouldn’t you also waive your access to hospital care if you become seriously ill from the virus?

This would be meaningful in afflicted areas where hospital beds are scarce.

This is what we need to get to the truth. More speculation.

I came to realize this recently. Those of us that have had it talk about sore arms and a slight fever, but some people take that to mean that it's bad enough they don't want to go through that. Which bothers me, and makes me wonder if talking about these relatively mild issues are worth talking about. My immune system kicked in. I'm glad, it means I'm still alive. Plus I felt justified eating ice cream.

Granted, a vanishingly small percentage of those vaccinated have had blood clotting. They also would have had the same reaction if they had been given heparin.

I agree. I also think one refusing to be vaccinated should bear the cost of any medical care they later require if they do contract the virus. It’s this thing about taking personal responsibility that I always hear about from the people I know who are resisting being vaccinated.

After copious amounts of research, I discovered mocha almond fudge helps mitigate flu-like symptoms of your second shot. So I got a double. No arguing with science.

I had my 2nd Pfizer shot a month ago, 12hrs after getting it I had 104 fever and pain in all of my joints, could hardly move. It all went away in 12hrs, but my riding endurance went down and I needed a couple of weeks to get back to pre-vax level. Felt nothing after the 1st shot.

This topic is kinda going off the rails (as such my last post in this thread as I come here for the riding) but........

I guess that your scenario would be possible in some countries? but....

Then by the same token if a person is afflicted by the vaccination....will they be given one of these scarce beds? Will they have to pay? Will they be reimbursed if unable to work etc etc??

Oh ... liability release before getting the vac? If so I guess the Q is moot

We need to do a larger study. Enlist more Paceliners, try more flavors. For science. For humanity.

I was a little fatigued after my first Pfizer shot. But who knows if my fatigue was caused by my vaccination, or by the preceding weekend and the rides I did. The second shot didn’t affect me at all, but for a little soreness around the injection site that lasted a few days. I rode the night of my vaccination and was fine.
