Looking for 26.0 bars with a modern shallow drop...
Hi,
I'm looking for a set of drop bars that will fit a quill stem, and I'm wondering if anyone might be aware of any that are close to the shape and shallow drop of my favorite modern bars- 3T's Ergosum. There are no currently produced offerings that I could find, so I'm looking through older NOS options. Any knowledge would be really helpful. I'm not interested in a threadless stem adapter-- the bike is a semi-vintage Eisentraut, so I want to keep it clean and classic looking. Thanks. |

Soma hwy1
Thry are a good shape, stiffer than expected, and resonably priced. I've installed the black (my bike) and the polished (gomango). Finish is pretty good on both. Thry felt heavy compared to a deda 215 but again, the hwy1 is reasonably priced. |

3t start
I have an 3T bar thats not too different in shape from the ergosum bar. I believe its the model name is start?
Hilary Stone's site has a variety of used 26.0 and other quill stem sizes. You might find something you like there? The La Rueda Tropical site has a nice comparison of popular new & old bar shapes with details on reach & drop. |

Thank you for the replies. This helps greatly. These all are basically what I'm looking for and haven't yet seen.
Sorry to rehash a beaten to death topic. New member, amateur mistake (use the f'ing search first. Cheers. |

There are few topics on any bike forum that have not already been hashed to death prior to your, and soon to be the next guy's, question about the same thing. The stupidest question is the one that wasn't asked. Should this forum run up against bandwidth constraints, I'm sure the Mods will let us know. Welcome to the forum. |
