I am sorry I screwed up and posted this in the wrong section.

Mods - can you please move this to the "not good deals" thread?

It has a bit of Mapei paint scheme in it allegedly from the bikes used for inspiration that Colnago has been posting online. I'm not sure where that part is.

Looks more like Mondrin/La Vie Claire to me. With the TdF polka dot jersey on the chain stays.

You can fool some of the people some of the time...

...and that is enough!

But what if you want rim brakes?

Actually fungibility is good for bikes, as compatibility is increased. NFT is bad for bikes atmo.

My "gotcha" monument with NFT's came when I was listening to a podcast about them and the guest said that they were for money laundering. Not all nefarious (and certainly not all for money laundering), but say you wanted to move money from one place to another or one person to another and avoid all scrutiny and taxes.

I may be late to this realization, but it made sense to me.

Depends on the protocol. If it is built using some proof of work coin, yea, but less so if it is proof of stake..

So why wouldn't transfer of ownership of an NFT be taxed? Just like giving a valuable piece of art to someone else....maybe it's just a loophole until they actually define it as part of the tax law, but if this NFT stuff becomes a thing, you know the tax-man will be sure to follow.

I fundamentally just don't get this whole NFT thing at all....seems like people said "hmmm, well we can't afford anything of real value, so let's just make up a new one where WE control the market and people just might buy it." I cannot believe the amount of money people are spending on what is effectively is useless should there be say, an EMP attack. At least tangible art always has some inherent value....even as firewood.

I don’t believe that the ETH blockchain could be destroyed by a EMP, or any other attack. An NFT is actually more secure than physical art, which could be destroyed by fire, or lost by theft.

…I don’t see why anyone would pay $11.7 million for a painting of a soup can

.
