I think it's safe to say that if this is Brood X, there at least 9 others. They may emerge in different areas, on different schedules, and their number may vary, but at least 9 others.

I don't remember a lot of news over the years about them, so some of the broods may be highly local. They definitely don't fly far.

I’ll be camping right in the heart of it. Thankfully, I’m the sort of person who could fall asleep in a train yard.

I have tinnitus so they don’t really bother me that much.

No, really we are used to them here in the mid-south as they are ever present on any given summer night.
