Tool Case Completed...
Thought I'd follow up on an older thread we had about custom tool cases. Finally finished this and love it. I'm far from skilled/artistic with an exacto knife, but it turned out well. Should have done this a long time ago to get rid of the messy tool kit I had going.
Case is a Nanuk 935 and Kaizen foam on inside. Tools on the inside of the lid had a habit of falling out when closed, so secured those with velcro straps. Bottom layer inside has a couple tuppwares for smaller parts/tools, and tiny screwdriver set. Cheers Last edited by oldguy00; 04-18-2021 at 05:05 AM. |

Beautiful. Love seeing these things.
Somehow I thought buying a big empty Milwaukee tool bag would help me keep organized by having my tool kit in one bag. It's just a giant black hole of wrenches though. Until I move out of my condo and buy a house I've told myself I'm not buying any more toolboxes, but something like this will be a very quick purchase. Sent from my SM-G991U using Tapatalk |

Very nice!
How hard was it to get the cutouts right? |

Just was looking at my case wondering what I could do to improve it-
Your box puts mine to shame.

What a great job!
Is this designed to take to events and such, rather than stay at home? |

Pretty easy even for me, and again, I'm terrible at arts and crafts lol.
For each tool, I just laid in on the foam and used a black sharpie to trace around it, then exacto knife the tracing, and use fingers to pull layers of the kaizen foam out. I bought some thin art board stuff at the local dollar store and glued to the back of each piece of foam, and those green straps you see on the sides were fed through and glued together on the back, to use as handles to lift the layers out. |

I really love it, and was way cheaper than buying one of the Park/Abby versions, and more customizable to the tools I really need (and already owned). |

Nicely done.
That is so well organized I would not know what to do with it. |
