26" rims w criteria

looking for a 26" rim break that will take hopefully a rat trap 2.3 but surely a naches pass tire 1.8 . TUBELESS compatible not ghetto tubeless... think dirt drop i can deal w either black or silver but leaning silver since id ultimately like to use a WI eno eccentric hub.

not a lot of people looking for this criteria these days but im hoping i have options.

Rim brake? Velocity A23 or Cliffhanger.

Non-rim brake yields more options, I'm planning a 26" TA/disc wheelset for RTPs with either Blunt 35s or Light Bicycle CF rims.

SunRingle RhynoLite's are the best deal for 26" rims on the market.

Ran Rhynolite XLs with Compass Rat Trap Pass' and they setup quite easily with a couple layers of Gorilla Tape. Tires were horrible but the rims were great.

If you are going with tires 2.3 and under, would recommend sticking with their regular width rim over the XL.

Better than Sunringle rims, IMHO, at least Velocity certainly builds more easily.

Will agree with OldPotatoe as to the quality of Velocity. Plus being an American company has some appeal.

Ran a set of Velocity Atlas' in 650B for a couple thousand fully loaded miles. They built quite easy, and held a true without any maintenance. Tubeless setup was pretty quick too. Plus I went with the high polish version, and they looked quite sexy. Couldn't stop for sh*t but they looked nice.

That said, had a pothole sneak up on me in the middle of the night, severely denting the rear rim. Not sure if another rim would have survived better, but $90+ to replace it kinda sucks.

Just saying, RhynoLites are eyeleted rims that can be had for around $40. Slave labor is cheap. The only failures I've seen have been wornout brake tracks from a guy who rode them around the country for a couple years.

interesting.... seems that the only player for silver high polish is velocity in the tubeless game.. velo orange has a couple but not marketed as tubeless... arggh. I thought this would be easier. may have to go black now...maybe.
any more options??

I have Rhynolites on my Big Dummy (I wanted bombproof and they are what Peter White recommended when he built the wheel set, and they are in great condition after 9 years). But - it's a b*&%! getting tires on and off those rims! I run Conti Town and Country 26x1.9 tires and change them to Nokian Studded W160s in the winter, and it's always a trial.

The H Plus Son Todestrieb appears to be tubeless, rim brake (didn't find confirmation or either, however), comes in 26" and polished. It is heavy and expensive apparently.
