If we can maybe get beyond the kiddy stuff, I would actually be more interested in hearing what you fellows were discussing in the photo above, and what Sagan's impressions were.

There are more photos of the bike here.

I remember trying to brake in the rain when descending on chrome rims.

Thanks much.

The section in that article about the geometry being guided by the availability and "limitations of the components from that era" (forks, esp.) and the limited length of seatposts back then remind me of how much we so easily take for granted these days.

And, "After the first ten frames, Breezer went away from this twin lateral design. He stated it was mainly because it saved him from having to do eleven extra welds." is just great.

I like that photo especially because of where you both are looking. What is the location?

So #1 has a flat-top crown fork and #2 has a curved unicrown?
Is that also because of a lack of parts (the crown) or were you guys just trying different solutions there as well?

Edit: answer found in fiamme red's post below. Man, CBR made some nice stuff....

Was #1 the only one he built with a flat fork crown and fork braces?

[Edited to add:] I found the answer in this MTBR thread:

BTW, only the first Breezer had the fork braces. I had Cook Bros. make the other nine forks.

So cool. I'd like to see pictures of that '41 Schwinn single speed. It's gotta be fun to take that out on single track.
