Do you use a saddle bag? Honestly, I'd rather carry even a small saddle bag with the essentials over anything else.

I use their pocket wallet and love the damn thing. Their demand is high so they only have swag on their etsy site. Just get in touch with them and ask for whatever you want and they'll custom make it for you. Colors, fabrics, anything.

Thanks for the nice words! We do have a bit of a wait right now, ok a lot of a wait! Send us an email info at soulrun dot com if you want to be added to the queue . Wallets are a much short wait than our pro tool roll.

We just made some up-cycled wallets out of race banners for Clif Bar:

And here is one we made recently as well.

They are all handmade in our sweat shop in the mountain by Laura.

We *should* have a run of wallets and phone sleeves in the shop next week.

But we do have awesome hand made belts for riding with if you need one http://soulrun.etsy.com

Let me know if you have any questions.

Cheers,
-Joe

I have a couple of extras I would sell for $1,000 more or less.

I felt the same way until rubbing a hole in brand new Assos bibs. I now adhere to rule 29.

Ha! The rules... I had to go back and look at those!

That's a bummer about the bibs. How big was the saddle bag?!

Why in the world would vanity cause someone to not use something as practical as a saddle-bag?

You can be vain about your looks, your education, your family history, but the lack of a saddle-bag? What's so wonderful about that?

Yeah, I feel like I might differ from a fair amount of my fellow forumites as I'm not ardent roadie. I'm that goofy commuter type that puts function over all... no matter how silly I might look.

I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt that you're not being obtuse..

FYI - some guys don't like the way saddle bags look on the bike. I happen to be one.

I guess you learn something every day - I would never have guessed that having a saddle-bag makes you look silly. I wonder what else I do makes me look silly? Wait - you don't have to tell me...

I suppose they do look cleaner without them. I'll give you that.

I guess in my case the convenience of permanently keeping stuff like spare tube, patch kit, mini-tool, etc in there overcomes the hassle and extra weight of having them in my jersey pockets.

Ok, being as into bikes as I am, and as velomonkey is velosexual one of the last things I critique other riders on is a saddle bag. Sometimes too big of a saddle bag, but like a little fizik that attaches - totally fine.

I did the sock, toe strap thing for years and can get a tube, c02, lever and money in there and it's fairly small. I just today put my rapha pack on that I got at a wicked sale price. Not sure on it, stuff goes in there nice, and it looks ok - sure is weather proof, but the strap is plastic and it's bigger than the tried and true sock method.

The phone goes in a sandwich bag in the center pocket unless I have a rain jacket in there.

Wow... Despite the fact that that is a consistent nagging fear every time I put my house keys in my jersey pocket, I have never, ever lost anything out of a jersey pocket. Not even when crashing catastrophically. Definitely not when JRA, even downhill.
