Full slate of Rapha Prestige events in 2022

Five in Europe, five in the US (MTB in Bellingham WA), and five in APAC.
Not much info, just the locations; RCC members can register interest.

Interesting!

I see they list a "Delaware" ride and caption it as the Delaware Water Gap, which is actually straddling NJ and PA. It's a bomber place to ride bikes too.

Hmmm, i could get interested in this!

Having learned the hard way, I'll offer some guidance.

When they open registration for the event it generally fills up within less than 48 hours (sometimes much less).

However, more than a few registrants don't seem to realize that they're registering a team of 4, and end up either punting or scrambling to assemble a team. Opportunities for single riders to complete a team then pop up.

But it really is all about the team. It's a timed event but having your whole team finish means a hell of a lot more than a podium (in Santa Barbara, I believe only 10 of 40 full teams finished). You want to be surrounded by people you like and who share your attitude/outlook on the bike.

E.g., I was with 3 good friends, all were plenty fit to finish the course but not all had the gravel riding skills for the very tough terrain so we missed the cutoff time. While we were all disappointed, it didn't matter, everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves (and are extra hopped up to finish next time).
