Flexy Seatposts?

I'm having my custom road/all road frame designed to have a lot of seatpost exposed for comfort. From what I've read, the Ergon and then the Ritchey have the most flex.

I need a post with some (at least 10mm) setback and preferably one that will take carbon seat rails. Those that have my attention:
  • Ritchey WCS Flexlogic
    Roval Alpinist
    Ergon CF3 Pro

What am I missing?

The apparently no-longer-in-production Specialized CG-R is pretty comfy. It worked well for me until the single-screw clamp stopped holding and the saddle kept tipping forward or back, depending on which way I was leaning.

Cannondale makes posts in 25.4 diameter, supposedly for added flex. You can probably shim one into your seat tube.

Lots of good review of Syntace HiFlex carbon post. Needs more than 10cm exposure to work great, but apparently very comfy. But might not have setback. Not sure if they do have one or if the clamp allow some shifting back.

I once considered the Canyon S15 VCLS CF and while looking for the link saw the Niner RDO if just a skosh of travel would suit you.

They actually also make their "Save" post in 27.2. I'd add that and the Enve post to your list, but the 3 you've got are great.

Any post with the setback integrated into the carbon (opposed to a 27.2 straight pole with the head bonded into it or with setback achieved through the clamp) seems to flex quite a bit more IME.

My journey to find a comfortable seatpost started from a s-work seatpost to a s-works pave seatpost then to a Ritchey flexlogic seatpost. Each was flexier than the previous. Happy with the Ritchey.

The clamp on the HiFlex allows plenty of adjustment if your saddle rails are long enough.

If you really want to throw tradition to the wind, you could also check out the Cane Creek eeSilk.

And the Roval seatpost you're looking for is the "Terra", not the "Alpinist". The Alpinist is superlightweight, the Terra has 18mm of claimed travel.

I have the Alpinist on my Aethos. Great post and great looks. I have a **** ton of exposed post. I may be missing something, but I don't really feel my post flexing very much, if at all. Who know, maybe it is flexing and I just don't sense it.

Kind of ironic that we want these super stiff carbon frames, then want flexy seatposts for comfort...

That's right. The HiFlex is marked as 0 setback, but the carriage is long and effectively allows maybe 10 or so of setback. Here is a HiFlex 0 offset pictured next to a Ritchey Flexlogic 15 offset for comparison.

I do think the Syntace post adds comfort. I haven't tried the Ritchey yet.

Not sure it is carbon rail friendly, excellent post IMO.

Also the CG-R need the carbon clamp bits, it come with round rail bit I believe...
