He was one of my favorite comedians of all time. His role as Death on Family Guy was great. RIP indeed. Texbike |

“Yippie! Jerry Rubin died this week.” Looking down, he apologized for his mistake and tried again: “That should read: ‘Yippie Jerry Rubin died this week.’”

“Macdonald once talked about an uncle dying of cancer, skewering how we now describe people suffering from that disease as “waging a battle” because that means the last thing you do before you die is lose. “I’m not a doctor, but I’m pretty sure that if you die, then the cancer also dies at the same time,” Macdonald said on Comedy Central. “That to me is not a loss. That’s a draw.” |

Thanks for the prompt
I've watched several of his talk show visits and other videos because of this discussion. Much appreciated, thanks for the laughs.
Thank you Norm! |

He was fired from SNL because the NBC brass could not handle the guff that he dishes out to OJ... relentlessly. Some NBC blowhard was OJ's buddy and it drove him nuts, always appreciated that. That and the Mike Tyson Mysteries

“The word came down, ‘You can’t book Norm Macdonald anymore,’” O’Brien revealed on the podcast. “And it came from the top, from Don Ohlmeyer.” O’Brien, then five years into a run on Late Night that Ohlmeyer had helped assemble and sign off on, wrote back, “I got this directive. You’ve hired me to do the best show I can and this is my best guest. So I need to do my job, which is the best show I can do.” Ohlmeyer reportedly said he was “disappointed” by the decision, but apparently relented; Macdonald would appear more than two dozen times on O’Brien’s various NBC shows, creating some of the most memorable moments in those series’ history.” https://www.avclub.com/conan-says-nb...sho-1847702082 |

I'm sure a lot of people have gone down the Norm youtube rabbit hole with this. This is my favorite that I've found, the Crocodile Hunter bit:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h8h-xeuC1L0 This was like 2 weeks after the dude died, just brutal. I love how Stewart just cannot keep it together. |
