You Bulls fans can relate.

It's Friday, no matter your hemisphere. Time to relax, unwind, take life less seriously for an oh-so-brief spell, with a mandolin and a soprano(?) banjo.

I’ve got a little piece by Bob Dylan, George Harrison, Jeff Lynne, Roy Orbison and Tom Petty stuck in my head today.

Roy Orbison had some great music. You will probably disagree with me on this, but I think his best album was Black & White Night 30, the quality of the players and the recording quality were spectacular, even though it wasn't vintage Roy, it just had an amazing depth to all the music that for me made it more enjoyable than his other stuff that seemed flat by comparison. I know the true Roy Orbison blue-bloods don't like that CD/DVD set, but I sure do.

I can’t say as I’ve heard it, but I will search it out and give it a listen.

Had some Junior Kimbrough stuck in my head so it was very apropos when I stumbled across this documentary last night. If you are a fan of Delta Hill Country blues you’ll dig it.

Funeral Song for Mississippi John Hurt, by John Fahey. Both were excellent finger style guitarists.
