Natchaug Epic - August 9 - have cheap registration for whoever wants it

Anyone do this last year? Looks like a good 'un.

Natchaug Epic 2.0

After a successful first edition in 2019, we return to Windham County for this 120 km (75 mile) bicycle adventure in New England's "Quiet Corner," where the boundaries of Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island converge. An investigation into a geologic crime scene of a retreating glacier, this jagged course features 5,000 feet of elevation gain and 19-dirt/gravel/glacial till sectors. This is a fully supported gravel fondo with four timed segments. Entry includes post-ride hot chili bar and beer. Here are the details:
  • Entry is transferrable, $5 fee applies
  • Total field size limit is 425
  • Chip timing provided by Raceday Systems
  • Route will not be announced until 10 days prior
  • There is one rest stop at which reasonable efforts will be made to cater to dietary restrictions (gluten-free, vegan and dairy-free options
  • Entry includes post-event chili fest and one drink ticket (beer and/or non-alcoholic beverage.)
  • Heated indoor locker rooms available
  • Rest stop food provided by Coriander Cafe, located near rest stop
  • KMC Rain bag service and changing tent available at rest stop
  • SAG vehicles to follow
  • Mechanical service provided by Southbridge Bicycles and Rapha
  • Route will be marked and signed
  • All entry fees are per rider
  • Individuals may retroactively join a team
  • Class 3 e-bikes (pedal assist up to 20 mph) welcome
  • Awards ceremony to follow
  • A minimum of 19 gravel/dirt sectors will be included. They will be given four classifications: EASY, CHALLENGING, DIFFICULT, SAVAGE.
  • The longest un-paved section is 10.6 miles. The shortest un-paved section is 0.3 miles.
  • Riders will encounter just five sectors in the first half of the route. Fourteen sectors await riders after the rest stop.
  • There is no advance notice given on the location or distances of the timed segments
  • Signage will be posted 500 meters before and at the start and finish of each timed segment
  • Riders are scored based on their cumulative time
  • Final timed segment will carry double value (time/2)
  • Tires wider than 30 mm are recommended
  • Beginners Discouraged; Novices Warned
  • Entrants will receive email invitation to the March 28 "Putnam Reckoning" with number plate pickup. Presented by Bianchi and Downtown Putnam Cyclery, this casual ride will include a reconnaissance of Sunday's key sectors including "Le Cuisinart" and "The Eighth Amendment." Special clinics for male and female riders will be led by world class cyclists. High jinks to follow.

So rather than refund entry fees, they rescheduled the event for Sunday, August 9th. Since that is the weekend of my daughter's birthday, I'm out. However I do have a registration available if anyone wants it. Currently $54, but I'd be happy to let it go for $25 (paypal or Venmo), for which I will also pay the $5 transfer fee.
