To Seafoam or not to Seafoam.

So I haven't even gotten my Cento 100 from Chris Bishop yet and I'm already sending Paul a deposit. All the Sadoff love has gotten to me and I've always, always wanted a RL.

the question is; to Seafoam or not?
Such an iconic paint scheme, will I regret not going seafoam?
I saw this pic of a Root Beer brown RL with gold logo's and man does it look nice!

Absolutely love this ^ .

Would it be nicer in Seafoam? Sleepless nights ahead......

If you want the experience of having a "Rock Lobster" go for Seafoam.

If you want Paul Sadoff to make you a cool custom bike, go for pink (or whatever color you prefer, which should be pink).

Rock Lobster Seafoam is spectacular--California Celeste!

I don't think you can go wrong with a brand's signature color. Brown bike with seafoam decals and/or accents etc? The squares behind the letters I think someone had a Richard Sachs done in brown/green/white a few years ago and it was cool.

You’re not wrong about the root beer color. But the sea foam is classic.

Hope that was helpful

If just about everyone else does it do you want to do it too, or do you want something different?

In case you ever wondered what a lemming looks like:

I'd never buy a bike in "seafoam" unless it was celeste but that's just me.

4 friends have recently received their frames from Paul and all look great but none of them are sea foam.

I think sea foam looks fun.

Edit:

Because aesthetics are really important to me as well. Go the with the color combo you like the best. If it’s not the sea foam, every time you look at the bike, you’ll say “I coulda done the root beer/gold etc….”

Seafoam =Celeste=Bianchi. Only exception is a late 80’s Specialized Rockhopper, so go with the brown. Looks good.

Getting a 'signature' color is way too boring. It's like getting a Bianchi in celeste, popular with people who get a Bianchi to buy 'heritage points' and get praised by the insufferable 'purists'.

Regardless of the color the OP finally ends up with, I think the more important question is which RL downtube font gets chosen.

The new one is very nice but I've had three frames from Paul, and they all have the older 'block' font.
