Jeff Lyon

So this one's got kind of a fun backstory. This was built by Jeff Lyon for Jon Williams (Drillium Revival on Flickr), who passed away not long ago. A shop in Portland had it up on eBay, built up with some pretty crummy parts. I made them an offer on just the frameset, and when they were tearing it down, found what appeared to be a crack in the headtube. They brought it to Jeff Lyon, who removed some of the paint and blessed it as not having a crack, it was just a paint defect. They ended up letting me choose a color for a no-charge powdercoat, but when it arrived there was a not saying that they'd ended up painting it instead of powdering it. Clears 45s, apparently.

Hey that's amazing. Love Lyons and that rear triangle is a winner. Can't wait to see it built up.

It’s a 700c frame. TT is 54, ST 52 c-c, HT 140 with headset. It’s going to be right on the small end of what I can fit comfortably, but also probably not the bike I reach for when I go on a super long ride, so not terribly concerned about it.

Threw some parts on, realized I’m missing a bunch of bits, kinda gave up for now. Clearance with 35s is laughably big
