Canyon is an illusion. They don't make anything. They don't have real infrastructure. They'll disappear the way of pets.com if there's any disruption in their space. Trek, now that's something of value and permanence.

Illusion....are their bikes figments of our imagination? Not sure what you mean here. Seems like they do have real infrastructure, if not in the US.

I like what they do. Real or not.

ha! I'm just trying to be controversial. I'm fascinated by marketing enterprises such as Canyon and Raphia. Proctor and Gamble still makes the shampoo I lather on my head every morning, ya kno?

I think Canyon bikes are cool and seem well regarded. However, I'd feel guilty bringing a Canyon into my LBS for service. If I'm going to buy a new, mass produced bike, at retail, I'm going to throw my business to them. I'm grateful they're here and grateful for their good customer service. |

I love my Canyon ...it’s the only CF bike in the stable.
Easy purchase, awesome value for the $, been very reliable. My LBS (a Trek dealer) says they are happy to service it. Although the only thing they would ever have to service is the disk brake system. |

Never liked the name, and the logotype design sucks :-)

Yeah Canyon is way nicer a name and font than Trek, I agree.

'Canyon' sucks, as does 'Trek'.

Heck lulu just paid $500mm for Mirror. The real question is how many subscribers the apps can capture and what they can monetize it at. Peloton is positioning itself as the spotify for online exercise with cycling only being a small part. I actually think their tread mill is better than the cycle. You shouldn't Most LBS like ours would be happy to work on a Canyon. We realize that the market trends are changing (more online shopping), but the web can't service your bike
