Yikes! Glad you are recovering, again.

So, the unasked question. What of the bike?

Can I buy your script to make it into a movie?

You have the lead role...of course.

I had a very similar break when in college. Straight thru both bones, total floppy leg, also while riding bikes. It took 6 months to heal fully.

I went into surgery in the evening and woke up in the morning with my dad who lived 3 hours away passed out in the recliner next to me.

I did get a rep for being the dude with a bottle cage on one of my crutches with a beer can in it. Also got to park front row for football games!

Heal up but don't push it.

I’m trying to figure out how they got the metal in there.
Reynold’s 531 or domestic titanium?
On the other hand, I don’t think I want to know how it got in there.

Who has the foresight to save the boulder?!

Have that baby mounted.

By the way; love the dog.

Probably surgical stainless, and they filleted his calf. Only instead of boning it they put in the hardware and sewed and/or stapled him back closed.

Then they woke him up with a drip of very good drugs, and gave him pill versions to take home when they unplugged him.

I think that is basically it.

You forgot to mention the “braking” aspect of the story. Heal up and we’ll go riding

I am glad you are doing better. Talk about rude awakening.

Did the boulder destroy the bike too?

Note to self: Do not EVER ride with RudAwkning, even though he seems to be a good guy. The risks are way too high.

Simply Unbelievable ... very glad to read that you are on the mend.

Imagine getting hit in the head by that rock. I don't think MIPs would make a difference.
