One of the best bikes I've seen recently. Congrats and we'll done. Looking forward to pics of where it gets taken.

Thread resurrection/long term review request:

I'm curious now that you've had some time on this setup, especially in a bikepacking setup, how you feel about the Innerbarends? Did you find that they conflicted with your handlebar roll in any way? Much appreciated on long fire road transfers and smooth singletrack?

I've got a set of these SQL Innerbarends and really like them for the extra hand positions they offer. Brakes are accessible. They don't work so well for extra leverage when climbing steeps, but they're great for nontechnical stretches.

The bar ends are great and don’t seem to interfere with the bag or anything. Overall I’d say the extra hand position is much better than not having it. It’s not as good as road bike hoods but yeah on smooth surfaces and the road, it’s really nice to be able to move the hands to another spot.

No it’s XL I like bigger frames for MTB because of the extra reach.

Also the rigid fork is long gone because the shock is way more comfortable and faster even up climbs.

What'd you swap it with? Fox SC 32, 34?

OP would you put a Lauf fork on that bike?

Saw a dude riding around with one the other day, a setup similar to yours - carbon hardtail 29er. I rode him off my wheel on pavement, regrettably.

What I'm really asking is suspension at all a concern, specifically one that drop in works with your HTA, and with the stated top end speed of 30 mph.

Just a Reba, nothing crazy. It was on the bike when I bought it. The rigid fork was an experiment so I held onto the shock. I miss the bottle mounts but oh well.

Honestly since I have a gravel bike with 650x2.2” tires I don’t see myself switching from the 100mm travel shock since this will get used for rougher rides. Even still I don’t really see what benefit there would be from the lauf versus the shock. I don’t think the shock makes that big of a difference for pavement speed and it’s faster off road for sure.
